Stinson Communications
Marketing isn’t about doing what everyone else is doing. It’s about telling the story only your business can tell.
At Stinson Communications, we believe every business deserves a strategy as unique as the people behind it. That’s why we don’t rely on cookie-cutter marketing plans or generic content calendars. We take the time to understand your business, your goals, and what sets you apart, then build a strategy that helps the right people discover, trust, and choose your brand.
Our role goes beyond marketing. We become a strategic partner, combining expertise in branding, storytelling, websites, SEO, and digital marketing to help your business grow with purpose.
It Started with a Story
I didn’t start my career planning to own a marketing agency.
I studied English because I was fascinated by the stories people tell and the reasons they believe them.
Along the way I managed retail teams, worked in media and advertising, taught writing at the university level, researched digital rhetoric, and eventually realized something.
Every successful business shares one thing in common.
They know how to communicate who they are.
Why My Background Matters
Long before content marketing became a buzzword, I was studying how people communicate, how ideas influence decisions, and why some messages resonate while others are forgotten.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Roanoke College before beginning my career in media, advertising, and business leadership. Driven by a passion for communication and storytelling, I later earned a Master of Arts in English from Radford University, where I was awarded a prestigious Writing Instructor Fellowship.
My graduate research focused on digital rhetoric—the study of how people communicate, build trust, and make decisions in digital spaces. I designed curriculum around contemporary digital communication and presented my research at academic conferences including Virginia Tech, Clemson University, William & Mary, the University of Florida, and others.
While that research began in academia, its impact extends far beyond the classroom.
Today, those same principles guide how I approach branding, website strategy, SEO, and content marketing. Because whether you’re writing a thesis, building a brand, or growing a business, success depends on communicating your message in a way that connects with people.
